Life Without Chocolate?

We left town a while back and I knew Baby had a York Peppermint Patty in his hand. I also knew there was no way he could unwrap it so I let him keep it. When we arrived home I was greeted with this precious face.

This kid doesn't joke when it comes to his chocolate!!
Have a great day!

Fullness of Joy

My first LO today is one I did for a RAK at http://triplethescraps.blogspot.com/. The challenge word is His Presence and I used Ps. 16:11, "... in thy presence is fulness of joy...". I wanted to do a page that my boys might find comfort in one day. Sadly, we are not accepted by part of our family and it causes alot of pain, but through this trial we have learned to lean more on the Lord and in that we truly have "fulness of joy".
So keeping with the 'joyful' theme, I did this page.
Lots of times I get frustrated with situations such as spilling an entire carton of itty bitty nerds all over the floor or yelling don't get muddy 1 second too late. I know when the kids are grown and moved away, I'm going to long for the excitement (and frustration) they carry with them. So I did this page to remind myself and show my kids that even in these chaotic times I am so thankful for them. They are truly a blessing!!
Have a great Wednesday!

Weekend Wrap Up!

My pictures are all mixed up today, so my story will be too. Sorry. This weekend we went to the car show and my hubby thought this was so cool. Personally, I like the older cars as you'll see at the bottom, but I did want to show how tall this thing sat. I am 5'7" and the tailgate was nearly over my head!!

You can't really tell but the three rectangles turned on their corner are T.V.'s!! Who needs T.V.'s in their driver's doors. This thing had a total of 13 T.V.'s if I counted right.
Anyway, I'll show you the cream of the crop at the bottom. Here are some pics from taking the boys to pick strawberries. We had a ball and this year my mom joined us which was really nice. Although she did get worried that we would get in trouble when Baby started on his 5th strawberry and we'd only been there a few minutes! He ate those berries up!!

Now this is my dream car!! 1970 Chevelle! Mine will be dark silver with 'Fuschia Kiss' or "Perplexed Pink' Stripes and my name written on it in the same pink color. Can't wait.
Have a great Monday!

Spring Cleaning

What do you think of the changes? Today, we will be going to pick strawberries so I thought I would share the LO I did last strawberry season. I love doing this every year with the boys and they enjoy it too. The best part is eating them all the way home!! Plus this year we've got 80 degree weather to pick in (last year it was in the 60's and rained almost every chance we got to pick). I'm so excited and I really hope the guys will bear with me and we get some great pics!
Here's the LO I did of Baby and his horse. I'm sure you remember the pics. I posted them earlier.
Have an awesome weekend!!

Trama in the Stancil House!

O.K. we all know that I am surrounded by egos and testosterone. LOL! So after a few years, I became a little numb to "accidents". I say all this so you will understand my reaction to the story I'm fixing to tell. We had some running around to do yesterday afternoon so I sent the big boys on out to the truck while I got Baby and everything else ready to go. As I'm walking to the truck, Noah asks, "Mom, what does the Epipen do to you?" in a very stressful way. (Nick is allergic to wasps) I said, "Why?" dreading the answer. Suddenly I hear wailing and Nick screams "I thought it was the practice one." He's bleeding, poor hubby is calling 911 and all I can do is laugh. I found it hysterical that an 8 year old would stick himself with his Epipen when he didn't need to. I know I was on the verge of losing my mind. We've been through countless stitches, a strange disease, and now an accidental overdose. He was fine. Didn't even have to go to the ER, but I'm sure my husband lost a few years of his own life over the situation. Never a dull moment in this family!

So today I leave you with my dear son and his beloved overalls. Boys have NO STYLE

Use the Force

My guys are really into Star Wars right now. They have the figures, the legos, the games, and the must have Christmas toy of 2007... the light sabers! We are now in the process of getting all the movies; we've seen them all, we just need to buy them all. This is a LO I did of the guys playing with thier light sabers. I love this quote in the Cogsmo stripe tease. It says, "You don't raise heroes, you raise sons. And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes." I am so blessed to have such sweet boys. I love them so much.

Just a Card

Just a quick card I did for a RAK at http://danielleflanders.blogspot.com/ . It had to have polkadots (the scroll), chipboard (the bird), paint (the edges of the scallop circle and the Get Well Soon), and a butterfly (at the bottom corner). Have a great weekend!!

Party over here!

Here are all the cards my hubby got for his 31st birthday! Now for 2 months I can say he's older than me!
Here he is opening his first gift. We aren't cheap, he asked for the candy. LOL.
Doesn't the look on his face just scream "whose birthday is it??" . This is my favorite photo of the night.
We had an awesome time with our family! Supper was delicious and Wesley talked about how much he enjoyed it right on up til bedtime. So today I leave you with a LO of us. These pictures were overexposed (hence the title), but I had to keep them because we were so happy together that day. I thought these pictures really caught "us".

Hope you have a great Thursday!!

Happy Birthday Big Baby!!!

Will spring get here already!!LOL. I'm not waiting patiently. Here's a LO of a pretty day we had a while back. Maybe we'll have somemore pretty days by the end of the week.

It's my hubby's B-day. We're having the family over for supper (he picked the meal of course!). My Dad's chicken pastry, it's the only pastry he'll eat, yams with marshmallows, green beans, cabbage, and broccoli casserole. His cake is a concoction of angel food cake, vanilla pudding, and strawberries with cool whip on top I'll post pics tomorrow. Gotta go. Gotta cook for my man!

Boys will be boys!!!!

Here's a birthday card I did recently. I have some LO's but I want to submit them and I'm not sure if you can post what you submit so I'm playing it safe.
On to the meaning behind my title... my darling husband got my little boys a four wheeler this weekend!! Did you hear my screams of terror! I have been a nervous wreck and Lorazapam has become my new best friend! LOL. Just kidding. I put my trust in God and He knew exactly what He was doing when He gave me a houseful of boys. These guys have had a ball this weekend!
Noah got stuck, and I have to tell you, this ditch is even deeper that it looks. I really was scared here!!! LOL.
You couldn't wipe that smile off Nick's face!
My hubby proving he's still a child at heart (but we All already knew that!) LOL!!!
What a muddy mess!! We had a ton of fun! Even Baby got in on the action. He'd mash the gas and laugh so hard. There is nothing that compares to these moments in time. This is why I scrapbook... so I never forget any of our family memories. I am truly blessed!

I'm seeing pink!!

My niece came over for a while yesterday and I was able to get some really cute pictures of her! She was all dressed in pink and I had a pink tulip in full bloom. Don't you love how God works even the minor details out! Noel Culbertson helped me figure out how to get these pics like this. I used
Basic Masking Gradient Brush Set from Designer Digitals.
I really like the effect. I can't wait to scrap these because I actually get to use some girly things!!!
This is a card I saw at my MIL. It was store bought and I thought it was cute so I scraplifted it. Don't know why but I've been into cards lately. I'll post some more I've been doing later. Hope you have a great day!!

"Baby's Boots"

Here's a LO I did yesterday while it rained all day. When Baby saw it he said "Ohhh. Dat Baby's boots." How cute! For those who don't know, Timothy thinks his name is Baby so that's what we call him. Funny story. Once a lady asked him "What's your name?" and he confidently answered ,"Baby". He's so funny. He's trying to keep up with big bros and it's causing him to grow up WAY TOO FAST!!! I think we've almost adjusted to everyone being back at school. 9 weeks and 3 days til summer vacation!! Yeh!!!!!!!!!

Fuzzy Photos

I hope everyone had a great Easter break! WE DID!! No one was ready to go back to school Monday and I wasn't ready for them to leave, but life must go on. 10 weeks til summer!!

On another note... I always save my blurry photos, but when I go to scrap them I don't spend that much time on them because they aren't the best. My Baby moves so much that I have had to adjust this philosophy a little. If I don't spend time and energy scrapping his blurry pics, then, all his pages will be just thrown together! LOL!! After taking the time to add paint and embellishments on this LO, you are drawn away from the fuzzy photos and you see the LO as a whole.
I think it improves his scrapbooks ALOT when I do this. So, I encourage you this week to find those blurry photos and spend some extra time on them. You may really like how it turns out. Another neat thing is that I used bubblewrap for the heart and another piece behind the bird. It's hard to see.

Have a great Tuesday!!
