Wow! Where has this week gone?!!!!!!

You know those days when you can't seem to get it going right? You know. When your constantly late or the laundry pile keeps growing? That's been my month!!
I have some LO's ready but I haven't had time to get them uploaded. I hate a post with no photos so here are the boys carving pumpkins.
Notice Baby.... his pumpkin is already done because "pumkeen YUCK mommy!" LOL!!!!! He is such a little neat freak!! I love it!!

Top one is Noah's, then mine (Jonah in the whale's belly), Nick's, and Baby's ( says candy and is pointing to the front door! LOL!)

Some people are really into altering things and I enjoy it if it has purpose. I Put all of our snacks in little snack bags so the boys don't eat the whole bag at one sitting. I needed something to put all those baggies in because they were falling everywhere in the pantry. Enter light bulb. I used the Mt Dew box to store the baggies!!

I just wrapped it like I would a gift box, except the open end. For it, I slit the paper at each corner and tucked it around the sides. I used tape to secure it. Then I painted all the edges.

I adhered pattern paper and Viola! Now my snacks are tidy.

I plan to make several and stack them on each other in the pantry. It's like a triple duty project... stores snacks, saves space, and it recycles!!
Have a great day!!

That was the best day ever!!!

That's what the boy's said after their party Sat.!! Sorry but these photos are all mixed up. I can't figure the blogger uploader out. It was raining so we had the party at home rather than the park. I don't think anyone minded. We started out with giving the two girls silly string to spray on the boys which was a big hit!! Then we did the pinata.

Birthday boys didn't want to do pictures so I had to get quick shots of them with their cupcake lit.

Here are the cupcakes. They were a real hit!!

All the kids. The boys were so happy their best friends could come. Our house seemed a lot fuller than just 7 kids. Wow! These kids can make some noise and a mess!! LOL!! I had a ball having them at the house!!

They swam in the sea of wrapping paper.

Baby was excited to get in on the gift opening. Eventually the boys began letting everyone of the kids open their presents. They didn't want them to feel left out. Thoughtful boys.

Getting the candy when it fell to the ground.

Baby got to take a shot at the pinata too!!

It was a fun day. After everyone left, we took the boys to see Wall E.
Have a great day!

Happy Happy Joy Joy

I go to many different member boards each day with the hopes that one day I will make one of the design teams, but there are a few boards I go to just because I enjoy them. Creative Scrappers
http://www.creative-scrappers.com/ is one of them. The people there are sooooo nice!! Plus they have a new sketch unveiled every Sunday and these are great sketches. They really inspire me. For each one you do, they will put your name in a drawing and at the end of the month they draw for a prize. So it's inspiring and you can win free stuff... Oh yeah Baby!! But what got me on this train is the fact that I was chosen to be guest designer for November!!! Yeah!!!!!!! You must go check them out!!
Now for the B-day boys!!!!!!!
I can't believe they are turning 9!! It has gone by much too fast!! I love you boys!!
And one of the three of them with Attitude! LOL!
Have a great weekend!

Back from Neverland

Can I just start by saying our house is not the same without these three!!

It was very nice being alone with the hubby this weekend, but by Sunday, we sure missed our boys!! We watched movies all weekend. We rode the 4 wheeler and went for walks. I didn't cook all weekend. It was nice.
I took Baby out for a few pictures this week. I'm thinking I might blow this one up and hang on the wall.

He's such a little Romeo!!

And I got one Christmas present done! Yeah for me!! Only LOTS more to go! What do you think? I made the box, the same way I made the one in the post below, I just made it 6".

Hope you have a great day! I will I have my boys home with me today!!!!

It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!!!!!!!!! My hubby and I are going to my parents tonight for a free and scrumptious meal and then we are leaving... without any kids!!!!!!! They like to keep the boys @ every other weekend, but they haven't been able to keep them for @ 1 1/2 months. So... they asked to keep them ALL WEEKEND!!!!!!!!! Well, of course you can!!!
We have no plans. We just want to sit on the sofa and listen to quietness! Can you tell I'm excited??
I thought I would share a project I'm working on for Christmas:

I plan to make lots of these little boxes and fill them with home made goodness! Money is tight for everyone and I used supplies that are just sitting around my house. I bet you have everything you need to make these neat boxes.
I used the same box that brought me scapping goodies! I'm recycling and getting Christmas presents done! So, you measure and cut your box in half. For mine it was 7". This will leave you with 2 open boxes. Measure the width of the box. Mine was 3". This is how far you will cut each corner of your box. We are going to close in our box. Using a ruler, bend each flap that you just made so that it closes. You will leave one of the long flaps loose. Tape the other flaps. Use a paintable tape!! Now, with a knife, cut down the sides of your box so that you will have a lid. Wheew! Hard part is over! Paint the edges, corners, and creases of your box to match the paper you will use.

Now all you have to do is glue your paper on. Make sure your paper is slightly shorter than the section of the box. For the final touch, I measured and found the center of my box lid flap. I went slightly to the left and right of center and placed eyelets. On the side of the box, I punched holes. Then I ran a coordinating ribbon through the holes and eyelets. This acts as your closure.

I hope my directions make sense. If you have any questions, just leave them in the comments and I'll be sure to answer them.

Have a great weekend!!!!!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, I did a LO featuring all the wonderful women in my life that breast cancer has touched (and in too many cases) taken away.

My Granny lost a breast to cancer. My step mom has had 7+ surgeries to take cancerous tumors off her breast. My Grandma Ward, her sister Claire, and Claire's daughter Linda were all lost to this horrible disease. It is so important to get a mammogram once a year! It could very well save your life!
Now to happier things: my boys!! Love these guys!!

And I got to spend a lot of time with my niece Sunday. I'm so thankful for that. I taught her to growl like the Panthers (football) and cuddled with her for as long as she'd let me. She is so adorable and as close to a girl as I'm going to get for now.

Surprisingly, these two play well together! Share your Breast Cancer Awareness pages. Leave me the link in the comments. I'd love to see them!

Have a great day!!

This and That

Have you heard about the Tour De France over at Mon Ame Memories? Well, it's too late to join, but if you want inspiration you should definitely check it out. This week was a LO from a sketch and here is mine.
Currently I am on the Peleton which really stinks! I don't know if I can make up enough points in the next 3 weeks to win. These ladies are REALLY good!!!
I'm still trying to get photos of all 3 of my boys for Christmas calendars. It's a lot harder now that they have started school. I was able to snap this one. It's different, but I like it. What do you think?

Here's one of the twins

And of course Baby

Have a great Thursday!!

Did You Enjoy WCD?

Do you get Creating Keepsakes Magazine? If so, then you may remember a page Elizabeth Kartchner did of a tree with lots of buttons. I have not been able to get that page out of my head. Of course she had a photo of a precious little girl and the papers she used were pinks and pale purples... so pretty. I on the other hand have handsome boys and my color choices are more bold and prominent, but here is my version of Elizabeth's LO:

I found the fence at a yard sale and knew it was going on this page!!
The twins will be turning 9 in just a few short weeks so for World Card Making Day I made their B-day cards. What do you think?

Did you do any cards for WCD? There were a lot of sites that had plans Sat. It was fun. I tried to get DH to make one, but he really wasn't as excited about it as I was. LOL!!

Have a great day!!!!!

Here's a LO I did for the Tour De France race at Mon Ame Memories.
There are some very talented girls in the race!!
We had to make a card using only the same supplies we used in our LO. Here's mine.
Off to enjoy my weekend. Hope you have a great weekend too!
