Meet My Family

I am one blessed woman. My family is almost completely devoted to our Savior. There are a few souls left to reach and we continue to pray for them. Our reunions are filled with fellowship and good christian music provided by...
These guys. Yes they are twins also. Not only are they nice to look at, but their voice is a gift from God. They used to sing country and even played in quite a few bars around the east coast until Jesus entered their lives. Now they play and sing a different tune. The one on the right is married (my boys were in his wedding). His wife left this month for Iraq (she's a nurse) and he is "wife sick" and "home sick" ( they are stationed in Texas). Please pray for him and his wife.
There's so much more I want to share about our weekend, but my eyelids just won't stay up, so I'll leave you with a few pics from our boating adventure.

Hopefully tomorrow I can post the pics of the mini book we're making for our cousin in Iraq. Until then, Have a great day!!

A Few Pages

Do you have any plans for Memorial Day? My family has always held a family reunion on Memorial Day weekend. It's a pretty big deal. We have all our distant relatives come in and spend the weekend with us. We play games and eat A LOT!!! It's lots of fun. This year it's being held in Goldsboro, which is extra special because there is a scrapbook store there and I can't wait to check it out!!! I'll be with all my boys so pray for them as they will be sitting in the car waiting on my for quite a while. :)! LOL!

I have been putting off scrapping these photos for a while. The pictures just didn't look fun. Finally I've done them and I like how they turned out except for the first one. I didn't notice that the flower had fallen down over my sons head. Oh well. DH says I should pay closer attention when I take pictures.
It took 5 years to finish this quilt. It's called "The Light Within". The title struck me before the pattern did. 'The Light Within" Jesus is my Light within.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!!!!!!

Monday Ramblings

Happy Monday! It is an absolutely beautiful day here!! We had a yard sale over the weekend and got rid of a lot of junk so our house is 'springy' feeling and the weather is 'springy' feeling and I'm just in a really good mood. Here's a LO I did for the sketch challenge on http://juliebonner.typepad.com/ . If you haven't tried Julie's sketch a week you should head on over and check it out. She does a random drawing each week and someone wins goodies for all their hard work!
I'm sure you've seen the candy bar wrappers in CK mag. Here are mine. I'm giving them to the boys teachers as an 'end of school' gift. I used my new Martha Stewart punch on one of them. I love that punch!!
Hope you have a great day!!

Week in Review

Time has really gotten away from me. Sorry it has been so long since my last post. The kids have not been feeling well. Baby's eczema has made his face so raw that he cries a lot from the burning and Noah is having another spell with his asthma. This weather is reeking havoc on the boys. Nick & Dad are chugging along like troopers and I got strep throat. Goodness, I didn't realize we had this much going on until I started to write it all down. Enough of that. Here's what I got for Mother's Day. My big boys made me the most awesome cards and gave me a begonia, then after church ALL my guys made me pizza!!!!!!!!

I could not have asked for a more perfect Mother's Day gift and the pizza was delicious!! No joke!
No one would touch mine because they made it extra spicy!! I love spicy! It was so sweet and I enjoyed it so much. Last I leave you with a LO. Sorry the pic is not good. I didn't realize it until just now. These are pics from Jan. I'm trying to catch up because once everyone gets out of school for the summer... there will be very little scrapping in this house! LOL!
Have a great weekend!!

National Scrapbooking Day

How was your National Scrapbooking Day? Mine was spent fishing, but I'll get to that in a minute. First, here's my version of the project Erin did on the CKMB Saturday.

I had to leave after she did step 3 and then couldn't go back later and find it so I made the inside different, but I think it works.

These are going to be Mother's Day presents. Now on to what I did do for National Scrapbooking Day... we went fishing. It really was a touching story. My hubby loves to fish, I really like fishing, my twins... not so much. It would be no big deal except hubby desperately wants to fish with his big boys. So, he took the boys to Walmart Friday night and told them to pick out any bait they wanted. Which ever one they thought would catch a fish, they could have. They picked their bait and began getting excited about fishing which tickled Wesley so much. When we got their they took right off with Wesley and fished. It meant so much to him and everyone caught a fish.

Don't you just love how Nick cut my head off!! LOL! Baby was there, but he spent his time with Pa so I don't have a pic of him with a fish. However, he does have his own pole so it's only a matter of time!
Have a great day and if your in NC don't forget to vote!!

Homemade Stamp

I'm so excited to share this with you! I don't know what the symbol is called, but it has been pretty popular. If you know what it's called, please share.

I made this stamp from regular craft foam and a piece of scrap wood! I drew and cut out the design then used my sticker maker to put it on a piece of transparency which I glued to the wood block. I sanded the edges to make sure I wouldn't get a splinter. I think it worked great and I can't believe I was able to make it.
Have a great weekend!!

Meet R2, Little Peep, and Duck

My wonderful hubby brought the boys home a surprise... 3 gorgeous ducks! They love them and named them themselves but don't ask me which one is which!! Noah won't hold them, Timothy will choke them, so I only have a pic of my brave Nick holding his duck.

Aren't they cute. When they get a lot older we'll put them in the pond behind our house. Have a great day!
