Merry Christmas!!

I will not be blogging until Jan. 5th. All the boys get out of school early tomorrow and our Christmas running begins. I'm going to enjoy our time together so I will not be posting. Anyone who wants to talk can email me. I will be checking it. I hope everyone has an awesome Christmas and safe New Year!!
I leave you with some pages. This one tells the story of my hubby taking the twins fishing. He let them pick out their own tackle so that maybe it would get them excited and he'd have some fishing buddies. It kinda worked.

This page was really fun to do!

I was especially excited about the tickets. I made those! They were super easy and I think they turned out just as good as the one's you buy. What do you think?

Have a
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!!!

More Calendars

Here are the calendars that the boys and I did for the grandparents.

It took a very long time to get enough photos for these calendars. 3 boys posing for 12 pictures is WORK!!!!!!!!!
I have to share this funny thing Baby did yesterday. He came to me and said, 'Baby need juice!". I ignored him because we are trying to teach him to ask rather than command, so he opens the refrigerator; spots his juice and shouts, "KACHOW!" That child has watched Cars WAY too much!!!LOL!!
It seems like all the boys have been cracking me and Wesley up lately. They are really funny.
Have a great day!!

As Promised

Here are my hubby's hilarious calendars. I made 15 of them. You think they'll be a hit? I was asked not to show the other guys so I only posted the pages with my hubby.

Except for this one. It was so funny!

I did a lot of work in Photoshop on this one. They wanted hot bodies, but they also wanted some funny ones so in some of the pictures they have big fros! It's all in fun.

Tomorrow I'll post my boys calendars. They turned out good.
Have a great day!!

Quick before I forget!

I really don't want to forget last night so I writing everything down where I will be able to find it when the time comes. We took the boys to their very first parade last night. I know... I'm a horrible mom! LOL! They had a blast!

They were absolutely content grabbing for candy and watching all the people ride by.

Now for the part that I don't want to forget. The whole purpose for going to this parade was because Wesley would be driving his Iroc in it for the school's auto club. These are his words: "It was so cool to ride down the street and see all the people. When I saw Nick & Noah I yelled for them to come ride with me and Baby beat them to the truck. He waved the entire time. Didn't stop once and the whole time he was holding a sucker in his hand. We were almost through the parade and one of the guys ran up to my window and told me Nick's car (not our Nick, one of Wesley's students) was over heating and they were pushing it. How embarrassing that the auto club was pushing their car!! I looked back and there were 3 guys pushing it out of the way. Says a lot for our program. Even with that happening I still had fun!"

I rarely scrap from my DH's point of view, but this story will definitely be told from how he saw it. Those boys thought they were the stuff riding down Main Street and when we got home Nick said, "I sure do love my Dad!" Those moments can't be bought!!

Have a great day!!

Winner, Weekend, & Whoa!

O.K. My favorite holiday goody is Oreo Balls. Delish!!!

Put one package of Oreo cookies in a food processor and process until it's a fine powder. Place in bowl and mix in 1 8oz. pack of cream cheese. You will need to use your hands for this and it will get messy, but it is so worth it. Roll into balls and place in the refrigerator to get cold. I use the freezer because I have no patience! Dip in white chocolate (I use Candy Quick) and then place on plastic wrap to harden. So simple and so yummy!!
And the winner of all that paper is
Marcia!!!!!!!!!!!
send your name and addy to: wesleystancil@bellsouth.net and I will get your papers out to you!! I added some Christmas papers in there too!!
Now to the weekend... YUCK!!!! We all FIVE got the stomach bug at almost the exact same time! I had to call my parents to take the boys because we couldn't do anything. It was awful!! Needless to say my parents now have the bug. I feel really bad about it, but they said not to worry about it. They knew the chances going in, but I needed them and they'd do it again no questions asked. Aren't they the best parents in the world!!!! I love them so much!!!
Now for the Whoa! Check out my man:
Here's the real photo:

All the guys on the shop floor have asked me to make calendars for them to give out. I said sure. Then they said "We want our heads on hot bodies". What??? These guys are crazy, but I obliged. I'm waiting on the prints. Once I get them, I'll post pics of their calendars.

Have a great day!!

RAK!!!!!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! We did!! It seems everywhere we went, the twins would find a game system to play.

My wonderful hubby fried the best turkey ever!!! With a little help from my awesome dad.

Check out Baby's 'cheese' while sitting with his Pa Stancil. Hilarious!

Aren't these two just the cutest toddlers in the entire world!

We had a wonderful time! Thanksgiving has to be my favorite holiday. You get to be around the ones you love without all the commercialism. Of course I could also do without all the calories. Oh well.
I have been swamped lately! I've got my Christmas cards done:

I am now working on my Christmas calendars. I'm only on March!!
Now for the RAK. It has been unusually cold around here and I hate the cold! I don't go out except when necessary. Therefore... I bake. A LOT!! So for my RAK honoring my 100th post, I want you to tell me your favorite baked goody or homemade candy. Don't be afraid to share your recipe!! LOL! I'll put your name in a hat and draw a winner next Tuesday. The winner will get this:

There are at least 100 sheets of 12X12 pattern paper here in every color!
As for my favorite goody... I LOVE Oreo balls!! I'll share a pic and recipe next Tuesday. Who knows, by then I may have a new fave!
Have a great day!

What??????!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me start by saying this Blogger can really be frustrating!! I've been trying since yesterday to upload my photos (can't post without photos). Anywho, it has finally let me upload! Arggg!
Yesterday we had the most amazing thing happen!! It snowed!! Not a cold weather fan. Hate snow. But snow in November? It hasn't happened in all my 27 Years. O.k. 31 years.

It was just a little snow shower and it melted almost immediately.

Noah had a time playing in it. Nick was sick so he just watched it from the window. Poor thing.

It really came down for a minute! Literally, it was only a minute, then it was gone. I told Wesley he'd better brace himself. I'm sure to suffer from depression this winter. Haven't had to deal with that ugliness for about 4 years now. Our winters have been extremely mild, but so far this fall I've hardly been out so it's sure to set in soon.
On a much brighter note I got another Christmas present done. This is for my little niece. I did some for my boys too, but they are home because they've been sick so I'll have to post them tomorrow.

Have a great day and stay warm!!!!

Live & Learn

My photography (if you can call it that) is a work in progress. I was so heartbroken when I found out that this perfect picture was taken to small to even get a decent 4X6 out of.

So, I set out to try again and this is the result:

What do you think? I'd love to get your feedback. I don't like it as good as the first one. I'm still a little upset over it. I'm also very bias when I look at my photos. That's why I need your opinion. Should I try again?

Have a great day!

I Stand in Awe!

Happy Friday!!! We went out yesterday and played in the leaves. Baby was not in a picture taking mood, but these two certainly were!

Sometimes I just can't believe that Wesley and I made something so pretty. They amaze me!
Here are the guys on the first day of dove season.
My journaling talks about how special it is to see these guys together. Wesley's Dad was an every other weekend Dad. He loved Wesley, but it was not a nurturing father son relationship.
I think that situation taught Wesley how to be the awesome Dad that he is.
And in case you are wondering, Baby's gun is not real! LOL! In fact, the big boy's guns are BB guns. I'm too chicken to let them hold a real gun! :D!
Have a great weekend!!

Let Go and Let God

I must say, it's been a discouraging few days for us. But God's plan is so much better than our own. I'm very proud to be an American and no matter what, I know my God is still in control!

"...I know that the Lord is always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord's side." The Inner Life of Abraham Lincoln: Six Months at the White House by Francis B. Carpenter (Lincoln, Nebraska, University of Nebraska Press, 1995), p. 282. Also, Recollections of Abraham Lincoln by Ward Hill Lamon (Lincoln, Nebraska, University of Nebraska Press, 1994), p. 91.
I scraplifted this from a LO Elizabeth Kartchner did. I love that girl's style!!
Have a great day!!!

Me: No supper, no candy.
Baby: Baby's ate half supper. Baby's get half candy.
