A Little Bummed.

I am becoming increasingly aware that school is starting soon. My heart sinks when I think about it. We have precious little time in general, but then school takes another 8+ hours away each day. I realize the importance of education and we take it very serious in our home, but I also realize that in the grand scheme of things nothing is more important than our family time. It really does fly by, so in honor of that thought, I did this page...

It will remind me of the treasures I've found this summer, of all the times someone has put a fake spider in an unexpected place just so they could hear my scream of terror :D !!! And the LO below will remind me of our time at the park.
I scrapbook for fun. I enjoy playing and creating. I also love looking back at my scrapbooks. I will look through them about once a week. How about you? Do you look through your scrapbooks and if so, how often? Leave me a comment. I'd love to hear from you.

This and That

Here's a LO I finally got a chance to do. I love this title. I know it's a little corny, but if the shoe fits... right? :D !
I've been playing with my PSE5 a lot lately. I'm really trying to improve my photo taking skills. So here's the before picture...
I loved Baby's sneaky look and the fact that he was holding a cute teddy bear. I hated all the chaos behind him.
I used the clone stamp to take out all the 'stuff' behind him. I also played with the colors a little and used my burn tool on the edges. What do you think? I'd really love to hear from you. Creative criticism is a way of growth and I want to improve so tell me what you really think!! Have a great day!

A Few Things

Have you ever had those days where you felt that there was no one else on earth as blessed as you? I've felt that way today as I was watching a hummingbird buzz around the yard. If you've never been close to a hummingbird then you may not know that they buzz louder than a bee!! It is amazing to watch those little birds hoover over the lantana bush, sipping the nectar from the orange and yellow flowers. I just love it!!

Anyway, I wanted to share a few more photos that I took of my big boys. They look so grown up. It wasn't that long ago that I would look at them and still see that adorable baby face. Now when I look at them I can almost see a young man standing there. I don't like how time flies!!

Getting them to behave long enough for a picture together is very difficult. I was very happy to get this one. And, I leave you with a LO. I'm not very happy with it, but I wanted to try something different so I used pattern paper rather than cardstock.
Have a great weekend!!!

Happy Day!

I saw these strawberries from Martha Stewart at Michael's and had to have them. They were so cute and I knew they would go perfectly with our strawberry pickin' photos!

Sorry, the LO is crooked. It's not my photo taking skills... it's they bar that the LO is sitting on :D!! Kidding!! Have a great day!

Another Year Older

This week was filled with so many emotions. We celebrated Baby's 2nd birthday on Thursday. Here's his cake...

He is a huge Elmo fan. When I finished it, he said "Purte take mommie." It made my night!!
Everyone got him some toy that blew bubbles and ALL the boys loved them (Daddy included).
(I took this pic with my new camera.)
I know this is a dark photo, but try to notice two things... the icing around Baby's mouth and the undies he is wearing. I told you our week was full of emotions.. on Monday, Baby decided he wanted to use the potty and thus began our potty training adventure. He's starting alot earlier than Nick and Noah did and while I'm excited to be rid of the diapers (not completely yet, but really close), it's sad to think soon there will be no little baby boys running around with a soaked diaper hanging to the floor. He's growing up much too fast!!

Week's Update

Yeh!!!!!!!! I scrapped!!!!!!! This is my cute little niece. Love, love, love being able to play with pink stuff!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!! I am extremely patriotic. I really love my country and I try to pass that along to the boys. We started our 4th by watching a very interesting documentary on the flag. I learned that flags are burned in a ceremony to keep them from being used in inappropriate ways. I don't know that this information interests anyone other than me, but thought I'd share anyway. Then of course we went to see fireworks!

Now for a funny story. On Wed. we (our family of 5) snuck into the Dean Dome!!! For those who don't know, this is where DH's precious North Carolina Tarheels play college basketball. We've never been to a game so this was a special treat. We ended up in the weight room! Sadly, we didn't meet any players but we took tons of pics of the court.
It was so fun, but Nick was terrified. I felt sorry for him because he couldn't enjoy the moment due to his fear that we would be arrested. I tried to explain to him that we didn't break in... we just snuck in. They were having some kind of basketball camp.
Lastly, we visited the Planetarium. The show we saw was Adventure in Space and it made several references to Star Wars which tickled 2 boys. They are really into Star Wars right now.
