Here We Go Again

Fever, more mucus than anyone person should have, and a sore throat. Here comes the cold that never dies... Again!!! This time of year is horrible for me. I am allergic to every flower, tree, and grass that has ever been and as if that isn't enough; our temps this time of year go from 70 to 40 over night. I am miserable!!

O.K. enough whining (that's why we had kids... so they could do the whining for us.LOL!) 52 Weeks... 52 Sketches is having a Design Team call and this is my layout. I used sketch #47.

The Perfect New Site

I am so excited about a new site I just found!!! Money is tight around here and we haven't felt the pinch of the economy yet (thank the Lord we were leaving within our means!!), but we know it's coming and soon we'll have to tighten our belts a little more. So I was thrilled to see that Emilie Ahern and a few other well known scrappy gals have started a site to test and review scrapbook supplies!!! How incredibly awesome!! Now, this is a card I did for the twins teacher. The card itself needs some work. I'm still trying to find my bearings where card making is concerned. What I would like to know is, what do you think of the raccoon???
I drew him and I'd love some feedback! I used to do a lot of drawing, but after I got married I stopped. When I began trying out cards, I had a hard time finding what I wanted, so I began drawing again. I'd love some honest comments about it.

Greetings From The Throne

The porcelain throne, that is!! LOL!! This is how Baby greets me when he needs a wipe:

I know it's a little personal, but I think it is funny so I shared. I did this layout for the sketch at 52 weeks. I don't like how the title turned out. I wish I wouldn't have traced around it, but once it's done... it's done. Although, I did just think about painting back over it in white. I'll try that.

***Puppy Update*** They are 5 days old and we've not lost another one! They are scooting all over the dog house and Koi looks a LOT more rested!

The Puppies Are Here!

Finally, some o.k. pictures of the pups. I am NOT an animal photographer... sorry. First, here's the runt. She quit eating yesterday and although we tried to hand feed her, it wasn't enough.

Here's most of the gang. 10 chocolate and 3 yellow. (Jenny B I wish you lived closer girl. I'd share). They are full blooded. Both parents are AKC.

This was Wesley's dream, to breed dogs. We'll see how well it works.

Here's Mama and pups. She looks so tired. Poor thing.

We Have a New Addition to Our Family!!

Actually, we have 13 new additions to our family! Koi, our chocolate lab, gave birth to 10 chocolate and 3 yellow labs yesterday!! This is her first litter!!! I'll try to get some good pictures of them today.

This little fellow has fallen in love with the puppies.

He's thinking of names and asking can we keep them. I finally gave in and said we might keep a yellow one just for him, but HE will be responsible for it. I'll let you know how it turns out. It's odd because we never pegged Nick for the animal lover. We always thought it would be Noah. Turns out Noah is more like me than we thought. Poor thing! LOL!!

Monday Blahs and a RAK

Man! I was sick all weekend!!! Yuck!!! We did manage to have friends over and watch Madagascar 2 Valentine's night. It was pretty funny... well, what of it I could hear. My head is completely clogged!! Anyway, here's a layout I did with the Feb. kit from SMM. Me and my pride and joy and laughter. I love these guys so much!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Let me just start by saying that I have the most perfect, three boys. They do many things well and I am so very proud of them. I thank the Good Lord daily for allowing them to be a part of my life.

We have had some gorgeous weather lately which has driven us outside!! It has also helped us to realize that my darling Noah can NOT fly a kite. Period. Can't do it!

However, Baby, at 2 years old, flies a kite beautifully!

I didn't post photos of Nick, but he can fly a kite a little. We have given up kite flying because it rally causes the twins way more stress than any fun hobby should!!!

Hillarious Boy!!!!!!!

So we were unpacking the truck from our daily grocery store trip (anyone with boys understands why this is a daily trip!! LOL!!). Baby decides he wants to help bring in the bags, so I give him the bag with cereal in it. That's light enough for a 2 1/2 year old, don't ya think?? He's walking down the walkway and this is our conversation:

Baby: "Ooowww! My back!"

Mama: "What???" (I mean, really, it's a bag of cereal!!!)

Baby: (In a disgusted tone) "Mom. Like the Credibles! Oooww. My back."

If you've seen the Incredibles then you know this is a scene in it where Mr. Incredibles' back goes out on him while he's fighting the robot that will destroy the earth.

He may fell miserably in school, but he will know every line of every movie he's ever watched!

Just a Card

I had a layout I was going to post today, but for some reason I can't get it to load?? I resized it smaller. It still won't go. So I posted the anniversary card I made for my hubby.

It was for a challenge at SMM to use scrap paper and make a lollipop flower. I love how it turned out.
