Simply Ramblings

At the family reunion a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of sitting down and getting to know a new relative. She married one of my twin cousins about 4 years ago, my twins were in her wedding. We've never had the opportunity to get to know one another because she is a nurse for the military and they live in Texas. She was deployed during the last reunion. Anyway, I really enjoyed talking with her and decided to send her a card just to say hi.

We have just learned that my BIL and his wife have split... again. Love hurts. Marriage is hard. There are days when DH and I want to call it quits, but we don't. I wish they could see that they aren't playing some sort of game. They have a little girl trapped in the middle of their on again off again relationship. The first time, I stood by my BIL. He took her back and although I felt it was a mistake, I tried to support him. Now it's an every other week thing. I just wish they would figure out what they are going to do and stick to it!

All this makes me so much more thankful for my DH!! We actually met in church. I am so thankful that we have a relationship that is centered on Jesus. If it weren't for that, it could just as easily be us who were on again off again.
